Emmanuel Tagoe affectionately called Game Boy has denied that he jubilated over Isaac Dogboe’s defeat to Mexican boxer Emmanuel Navarette
Isaac Dogboe lost his mandatory title defense to Emmanuel Navarette by unanimous decision at the Madison Square Garden in the United States.
After the bout there were reports that Emmanuel Tagoe celebrated over his fellow Ghanaian defeat but speaking on Rainbow Sports, GameBoy boy denied jubilating over Dogboe’s defat and has cautioned persons making the claims to desist from doing so.
According to Game Boy, he has no problem with Isaac Dogboe but indicated that there was misunderstanding that occurred in the early days of their career where some people suggested that Isaac Dogboe was better than him and will beat him in a bout but we have settled that score, he added.
He is a young boy and we must encourage and motivate him than mock him over his defeat, he added.
He has also challenged media houses to come out and challenge him if he granted any interview to jubilate over Dogboe’s defeat.
‘’Am I evil to jubilate over his defeat? We should I jubilate because a Ghanaian boxer lost a bout? Only evil people will do that. I was shocked when I heard and read about the lies circulating on social media that I jubilated over the defeat. I want to state that the story is false and a figment of the writer’s own imagination,’’ he added.
