The suspect who stoned who his wife Madam Gloria Akorley to death at Amuzukope, a suburb of Kasoa in the Central Region, has been remanded for two weeks in police custody by the Awutu Ofaakor Circuit Court, presided over by his lordship Ebenezer Osei Darko.
The suspect, Nicholas Akorley who appeared in court today told the court he killed the wife.
He further disclosed to the court that after discovering the wife had lost interest in him, he plotted to kill her because she had planned to divorce him.
Nicholas Akorley told the Judge that he approached the wife in the wee hours of Thursday October 4, 208, when she was on her way to town and hit her in the head with a hammer.
The suspect from an account of his daughter, Bernice Akorley revealed her father always threatened to kill the mother and use her for ritual purposes.
Bernice Akorley said her parents’ marriage had grown sour as the two have for a while not the best of friends. According to her, she only recollects that her mother had a phone call early Thursday morning and went out. The man has been arrested and assisting the police in their investigation.
