A pedestrian has been knocked down by a speeding vehicle on the Adenta highway today (Thursday).
The deceased is said to be a 22-year-old student of the West Africa Senior High School (WASS) who was attempting to cross the highway after going to the school to get registered for the gold track.
The incident has infuriated residents who have blocked the highway with burning lorry tyres.
The police have arrived at the scene to calm the situation down.
They have reportedly fired tear gas to disperse the angry residents who are demonstrating the lack of footbridges, a situation they decried has caused the death of some residents.
