NDC campaign launch was necessary-Chief Biney

Written by  Aug 20, 2016
A member of the Government's Communication Team Chief Hamilton Nixon-Biney has stated emphatically that the campaign launch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was necessary. According to him, it was important the party launched its campaign to inform Ghanaians of what they have in install for them, going into the general elections. Communications Director for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea and some key members of the party believes that the campaign launch was needless and included nothing new and positive to be discussed. But Chief Biney speaking to Kwabena Agyapong host of Eboboba, on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM said, the party's launch is one of major event for them going into the general elections. The NDC he maintained, was clear with its message, focused and poised for victory this election year. He posited that the entire foundation of the NPP was submerged after the launch and he is sure the party, is finding it extremely difficult to water down the NDC's achievement and its victory this year. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) launched its 2016 election campaign on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the Central Region and also outdoored the party’s Presidential candidate, President John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, the Vice President. The event formerly introduced the campaign team for the party and its leaders, who would steer the affairs of the party for the 2016 elections in December. He advised the NPP to focus on uniting their divided front instead of wasting their time on unnecessary things.
