The VVIP and VIP lounges at the Kotoka International Airport will be closed down temporarily from Monday June 12, 2017.
A statement from the Foreign Affairs Ministry did not state reasons for the action but said it took the decision due to circumstances beyond control.
The two lounges will be closed from Monday 12th June, 2017 until further notice, the statement added.
The VIP and VVIP lounges of the airport are used primarily by State officials including the President, Vice-President and other high ranking members of society.
It is also open to diplomats and high profiled dignitaries from other countries.
According to the statement, arrangements would be made for individuals who are allowed to use these facilities.
