Minister of State in Charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong, has given assurance to the families of the three kidnapped Takoradi girls government would do anything possible to bring them back.
The Minister in an interview with Accra based Asempa Fm that the girls “are fine” despite being uncomfortable.
Mr. Bryan Acheampong said from the information they have gathered, they know the country where the kidnapped God is and the security agencies would do anything possible to rescue them.
He told the station the team working on rescue the mission has been communicating with the affected families on information regarding their children.
When asked to state emphatically whether the girls were alive he said, per “the information we have now, they are fine. They don’t wish to be where they were but they we know that they are fine. If it was otherwise, we would have known.”
The Sekondi High Court Two on Wednesday remanded a 29-year-old John Oji into custody, in connection with the three kidnapped girls in Takoradi in the Western region.
The 29-year old Nigerian, John Oji, who appeared at the Sekondi-Takoradi High Court was charged with the offence of conspiracy to kidnap and kidnapping and is to reappear on June 26, this year.
Earlier, Samuel Udoetuk, an alleged suspect standing trial in the kidnapped case mentioned John Oji as the key to unraveling the whereabouts of the kidnapped girls.
The three girls have been away for more than eight months now.
