Former Kotoko midfielder, Yussif Alhasan Chibsah, has urged the current Kotoko team to go all out in their last game against Zesco United in Zambia to win, because a win for them is possible.
“There is hope we can make it to next stage” he said.
According to him, the only challenge the Porcupine warriors is facing currently is playing away from home.
Zesco United and Nkana are all Zambian football clubs but Zesco have no chance to qualify to the next stage, but sometimes politics plays a role in football. However, I will admonish the team to do their best and qualify to the next stage, he noted.
In an interview with Nhyiraba Asirifi on Rainbow sports he said, at this crucial stage the most important thing to do is to play as a team, the players must work together. Anyone who wears a jersey to play for Kotoko must prove that, the opportunity was of worth” he said.
“Though certain key players like Yakuba will miss this particular match, those who will will replace these players must prove that this team is an all-round team” he added.
He further said that Coach C.K Akonnor together with the players have performed well even though he took the job not quite long. Gradually the spirit of Kotoko is seen in these players as they continue to play more games for the club and with the support of Kotoko supporters they will get there.
Chibsah concluded he has no intention of becoming a coach now, but who knows, in the future anything is possible.
