Man arrested for attempting to smuggle PFJ fertilizers


A suspect by name Jerry Collins Awagar, has been arrested by the Upper West Regional Police Command over an attempt to smuggle bags of fertilizers under the Olanting for Food and Jobs policy.

He was arrested by the Upper West Regional Police when he attempted to smuggle several bags of PFJ branded fertilizers outside distribution.

Per the arrangement this year, only 25kg packaged bags are supposed to be distributed in the northern parts of the country. 50kg are for the southern parts.

However, Awagar was arrested with over 2,000 kgs of the 50kg bags heading to Gwollu en route to Hamille.

He is currently in Police custody.
