The Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for the Asawase constituency, Muntaka Mubarak, has underscored the need for the House to invite commissioners from the electoral Commission to come and update legislators on activities to be conducted by the state institution including the limited registration exercise.
He is also demanding the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Ernest Addison and the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Reverend Ogbamey Tetteh to come an answer questions with regards to their respective sectors.
His request came after the Majority Leader; Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu presented the Business Statement for the First Sitting of the Second Meeting of Parliament after the Easter holidays.
But in his response, the Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu said the issue over the limited registration exercise was in court.
However, the House would certainly invite officials from the EC to respond to questions when the need arises, the Majority Leader added.
