My Focus is to give NDC power in 2020 & nothing else-Ofosu Ampofo

Newly elected Chairman for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has promised to recapture power for the opposition umbrella family in 2020.

Mr Apomfo describing himself as a ‘’focused person’’ said his objective is deliver on the mandate as a chair of the NDC and win the 2020 polls come rain or shine.

He told Kwabena Agyapong on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that, the NDC must recapture power and deliver Ghanaians from the incompetent ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He thanked delegates of the umbrella family for voting massively for him and promised to win power for the NDC.

‘’My main objective is to win power for the NDC. I will work hard and collaborate with all other leaders of the party  for us to win the 2020 polls. The NPP has failed massively and the only party that is capable of delivering is the NDC. My focus to make the NDC a strong party to make it win the 2020 polls.’’

Reacting to the perceived claims by some individuals that the polls failed to elect voltarians, he said, the election was not organized on tribal lines but it was organized in a free and fair manner and candidates campaigned and went to seek the votes of delegates who decided at the congress to vote for the current crop of leaders.
