Ghanaian male gospel musician, Jack Alolome, has rubbished stories making rounds that he has gone buy snails on credit to the tune of GHc630.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sokoohemaa Kukua on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the musician said the story is a calculated attempt by his former manager to disgrace him.
He also denied operating a chop bar as speculated in the story.
The musician disclosed on the show he suspects his former manager because he feels he is the one behind the story.
Although he failed to mention the manager’s name, he said, my former manager promised to bring me down because I no longer work with him. He told me point blank he would do everything in his power to bring me down.
‘’I know where this fabricated story is coming from. I know the one behind it. The person behind the story did a similar thing which caused a bad blood between myself and another gospel musician,’’ he said.
A petty trader who sells cassava, plantain and snails along the Kumasi-Accra highway at Atwedie near Juaso in the Asante Akyem South district, Mama Akos is accusing the musician of purchasing snails from her on credit but has refused to pay.
The woman said Jack has been buying from her for the past seven months, but has failed to pay her an amount of GHS 630 which is the cost of snails from her some 5 months ago.
But Jack Alolome insists she does not the woman, has never met her or purchased snails from her as speculated.
