Nine suspects in connection to kidnapping of two Canadians airlifted to Accra


Nine suspects arrested in connection with the kidnapping of the two Canadian nationals in Kumasi have been airlifted to Accra, Rainbow Radio’s Kwabena Amoateng has reported.

According to Kwabena Amoateng, the suspects were airlifted in an Air Force plane.

The suspects were arrested on Wednesday in an operation carried out by the National Security to rescue the kidnapped girls.

Amoateng told rainbowradioonline.com that six of the suspects played key roles whereas the remaining three played auxiliary roles.

It is gathered that the driver of the vehicle used for the kidnapping who is a mechanic and one other person were first to have been arrested and led the security personnel to arrest the others.
