A private legal practitioner lawyer Nkrabeah Effah Dartey says he feels sad that the “bogus” Anas Number 12 expose has brought serious damage on the reputation of Kwesi Nyantakyi, the former Ghana Football Association President.
Reacting to the forensic audit report said to have cleared Mr. Nyantakyi of corruption cases by world football governing body FIFA, he said the expose has brought serious damages that maybe be difficult to repair.
A publication by Ghanasoccernet has said FIFA has found no acts corruption or financial impropriety on Kwesi Nyantakyi during his tenure, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The audit conducted on the orders of the world governing body six months ago also cleared members of the Executive Committee of the GFA of any acts of malfeasance.
The FIFA auditing officials, who spent about one month in Ghana investigating the financial affairs of the federation, discovered that neither corruption nor embezzlement took place at the GFA.
The audit report concluded that the Ghana FA has only ‘perception issues’ to deal with since media reports of corruption within the federation are ‘wide off the mark’, the report said.
Reacting to the report in an interview with Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the lawyer aid he felt sad when he read the publication because and said “I was sad. Look at the extensive damage to the reputation of Kwesi Nyantakyi and his chances to football administration in Ghana and the world. That bogus Number 12 by Anas has created big disgrace and confusion. He has embarrassed him to the world-class level.”
The lawyer is, therefore, asking how to repair the broken damage saying “that is my problem. We have to be bold and condemn evil.”
Lawyer Dartey took his hum on Anas and wondered he enjoys entrapping people and always making suggestions without facts and yet “you (Anas) cannot stand in court to face people. We cannot build a nation like that. We need to bottle such people up.”
