Police issues statement to condemn Agyapong’s attack on Commander but fails to arrest him

The Ghana Police Service has issued a statement in reaction to a near assault of its Central Regional Commander by Assin Central MP. Kennedy Agyapong.

The statement issued and signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ASP) David Eklu said the police takes exception to the behavior of the legislator and advised him to be mindful of his actions towards Police Officers whilst performing their lawful duties.

The statement also assured police officers that the police administration will stand by them at all times provided their conduct is professional and lawful.
