Prez must address the nation on porous security situation just like he did with Ghana, US military pact agreement-Apaak

Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak has argued that the security situation in the country is so porous.

The legislator described the situation as worrisome and gave the kidnapping of some seven girls in Takoradi as an example to buttress his position.

He has therefore called on President Akufo-Addo to address the nation in order to assure them of government’s commitment towards stabilising the porous security situation.

“Truth be told, the ultimate responsibility falls on you, Prez NADAA, to ensure that every Ghanaian is safe. With all the security challenges we face in Ghana today, is it not disappointing that you have not seen the need to address the nation; to reassure us and outline what you are going to do or are doing to ensure that we are safe?”

Dr. Apaak says because the president saw the need to address the nation in the wake of the brouhaha surrounding the Ghana, US military pact agreement, he must equally address the nation on the “porous security situation”.

Mr. President, the security situation in Ghana is very porous. Seven young girls kidnapped in Sekondi/Takoradi, the oil city, between August 2018 and today?

Very sad and worrisome. Its not only shocking but unbelievable! Clearly, this is another example of the porous security situation we are talking about in Ghana today.

Truth be told, the ultimate responsibility falls on you, Prez NADAA, to ensure that every Ghanaian is safe. With all the security challenges we face in Ghana today, is it not disappointing that you have not seen the need to address the nation; to reassure us and outline what you are going to do or are doing to ensure that we are safe?

Sir, you saw the need to address the nation in the wake of the disagreements in relation to the Ghana-US military cooperation, so why are you silent on the current security challenges debilitating Ghanaians?

Mr. President, I remain a citizen, rain or shine!
