The Upper East Regional Minister, Madam Paulina Abayage has paid her first working visit to the Paramount Chief of Kusagu Traditional Area, Naba Abugrago Asigri Azoka II and the elders of Bawku Traditional Area.


The Minister appealed to Bawku Naba, elders and the good people of Bawku to support the policies of President Nana Addo in order for him to achieve the promises he gave Ghanaians in 2016.


She also appealed to the Queen mothers in the Bawku Traditional Area to form groups to promote women in leadership.


Madam Paulina Abayage said, due to it’s strategic location, Bawku is of great significance to the economic development of the Upper East Region.

The regional minister outlined government’s plan to introduce projects that would create jobs for residents of the area.

The Zug – Raan, Abugragu Asigri Azoka II also promised to support her as she recently assumed office as a new minister.


He assured the minister he and his elders and the good people of Bawku will support her day and night to develop the Upper East region.


Naba Abugrago Asigri Azoka II also appealed to the regional minister and the president to speed up on the Bolgatanga – Bawku- Pulimakom high way project.
