The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) led by its president Ben Nunoo Mensah has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mayor of Inawashiro, Hiroshi Zenger, for Ghana to use the town as her pre-games camping site for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Paul Atsu, the first Vice President of Ghana Olympic Committee speaking on Rainbow sports said, as part of their preparations,  half of their problems is solved after signing that agreement with the Mayor.

For now, more than ten federations have signed that they have athletes who can go through the qualification process and qualify for the Olympic games in Tokyo 2020 and some of the federations are still writing so we have given them up to next week after that, we will start compiling the list to see the particular athletes they have selected to go through the qualification successfully then we start looking for sponsorship to sponsor them.
