So all of a sudden, databank is the only well managed fund manager in Ghana-Divine Nkrumah

National Youth Organizer of the opposition Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Divine Nkrumah, has raised questions over what he has described as the abuse of power by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the approach it has used in managing the challenges that confronted the banking sector.

Divine Nkrumah is questioning if Data Bank, which is owned by Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, is the only well managed fund management company in Ghana.

The youth leader who referred to the listing of some 50 fund managers on the red list of the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), accused government led by Nana Akufo-Addo of nepotism.

In a post to express his pain, Divine Nkrumah wrote on his Facebook post saying: “So all of a sudden, databank is the only well managed fund manager in Ghana. And we realised this, only when the owner of databank became finance minister and appointed his former vice president at databank as the Director of Securities and Exchange commission. (SEC).”
