Speaker declines request to have Ken Agyapong arrested

The Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Oquaye has declined a request by the police to have the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong arrested, rainbowradioonline.com has gathered.


According to details available, the Police wrote to the Speaker to have the MP further interrogated over the death of undercover Journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale.


But the Speaker declined the request by the police and rather requested that the police come to parliament on Thursday.


Some unknown assailants shot the late Ahmed Hussein-Suale last two weeks.


He was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck, dying instantly, according to the police.
