A keep fit club based at Anoff within the Nsawam-Addoagyiri municipal of the Eastern Region has on this day, 25th May 2019 inaugurated the group to beef up championing the course for youth impact in society.
It’s a chair, Samuel Torkpor revealed the group exists to help build the community glad itself in the contemporary model of development.
Mr. Torkpor noted it takes vibrant and dedicated citizens to sustain a preferred society. This wise, he called on all to contribute their bit towards the welfare of society wherever one finds themselves.
The club shows much concern about sanitation and is currently joining forces with other stakeholders to evaluate and relocate the refuse dump of the community. It says the dump site has overstayed its current location as it pollutes nearby residents.
As a matter of need, Unity Fun Club is also calling on the government to raise speed ramps on the newly constructed Adeiso-Nsawam main road that passes through the town because the level of over speeding by motorists does pose threat to pedestrian safety.
Members of the club equally pledged their dedication to serving for Unity Fun Club to reach its dreams.
The event attracted the support of Blue Skies, a fruit beverage producer in an early morning clean-up exercise to tidy the Anoff community.
Public Relations Officer of Blue Skies Sanitation Group, Simon Odu said the club’s patriotism since its establishment has been consistent. This is why the firm finds it appropriate to support them.
Mr. Odu pleaded with society to do away with unnecessary littering for improved sanitation and healthy living.
Dr. Renould Ntiri, a herbal medicine practitioner, led his Ntiri Herbal Clinic to offer free medical screening for the people.
Chief of Anoff, Nana Mankralo Anoma II and assemblyman for Darmang-Anoff Electoral Area, Hon. Charles Darabont shared the same concerns as the club and urged them to forge on to bring lasting glory to the area.
Meanwhile, chairman for the occasion, Mr. Scott Lee nicknamed, Don’t Think of Me promised his support for them to reach their goals. This he advised would be doable through frequent deliberations towards the common agenda.
