The founder and leader of Alabaster International Ministry Prophet Kofi Oduro have described Ghana as a sick country.
The controversial man of God said he described Ghana as a sick country because of our inability to solve the perennial flooding that has affected hones and communities during the rainy season annually.
He took his gun on people who dump their rubbish into gutters and described such people as stupid and unwise.
“Sixty-two years and we are still having basic problems; basic problems like flooding and we can solve it. The reason is because of the stupidity of Ghanaians. We are so stupid to the extent that you collect your rubbish and dump them in gutters and drains. We them spend money to dredge them. This is so stupid, ” he said.
He stressed the need for Ghanaians to change their attitudes in order for the country to develop.
He was speaking in a sermon today (Sunday) June 2, 2019.
Meanwhile, over 2.5 million people in the Odaw River Basin of the Greater Accra Region (GAR) will benefit from improved flood risk management, solid waste management and improved access to basic infrastructure and services in targeted communities of the GAR, under the Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development (GARID) project.
The $200 million funded projects were approved by the World Bank Board of Executives Directors today.
The GAGRIDroject will bring transformative changes in the GAR.
The project focuses on the Odaw river basin in the first phase and will be expanded to other priority basins within the GAR in subsequent phases, supporting a gradual improvement of integrated flood risk management.
