Ghanaian highlife musician, Kwaisey Pee, has disclosed that women have the negative perception about musicians being wealthy.
In an exclusive interview with Sokoohemaa Kukua on the mid-morning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said, women who date musicians always come with the expectation to benefit financially because of their negative perceptions.
According to him, majority of women who date musicians are unwillingly to sacrifice for the men and so when they realize their expectations are not being met, they become disappointed and call the relationship a quit.
Kwaisey Pee said, ‘’women see musicians as people who are wealthy and always make extravagant demands from them,’’ he added.
The musician when asked if he has been jilted by women answered in the affirmative and said, ‘’a woman gave me a broken heart and I had to leave my briefcase in Ghana when I was travelling abroad.’’
He told the host his father warned him to be careful of women and friends and could confidently say the advice his father gave him, formed part of the experiences he encountered as a musician.
His father he said was originally against his decision to become a professional musician.
His career as a successful musician he noted has not been on a silver platter as speculated by some people because he went through difficulties.
According to him, the difficulties he faced forced him to quit music because he was not making returns from the resources he invested into his music.
When asked if he was single he said, ‘’I am single but I am not searching.’’
Kwaisey Pee is currently having six albums to his credit.
