Residents boycott elections over lack of development

Residents of the Bimbagu South electoral area in the Bunkprugu/Nakpanduri constituency of the North East Region have boycotted the 2020 general election.

Reporters from Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm said electoral officers are sitting idle because no one has come to vote.

The residents had complained about the poor nature of their roads and other developmental projects.

The residents also complained about lack of potable water, inadequate educational infrastructure and no access to healthcare.
