A political analyst and sustainable development expert Michael Ebo Amoah has noted that the majority of seats won by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern and Volta regions were bought.
He specifically mentioned the Hohoe seat which was won by John Peter Amewu the Minister of Energy saying the minister bought his way through with money.
To him, if the resources used by the NPP to win the Hohoe seat in the Volta region was sent to the Central region, they would have won 5 seats there.
“The resources used by Amewu in Hohoe could have won the NPP 5 seats in the Central if they had spread the resources there.”
He also mentioned Gushegu saying these persons who have won the seats would serve not more than a term.
Speaking on the ‘Ballot Box’, the special coverage for the 2020 general elections on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he opined that traditionally the seats won by the NPP are that of the NDC.
Meanwhile, he has suggested former President John Mahama has performed well in the polls.
He said although the NPP took him for granted, he has won the elections psychologically.
He however slammed executives of the NDC saying they failed to help the former president to win the polls.
He also claimed the NDC parliamentary candidates were financially weak but have performed well.
