We’II not accept fraudulent results in E/R

December 9, 2020

The party says the results certified has been changed and for that reason, they will not allow that to happen.

PRESS CONFERENCE ON THE FRAUDULENT RESULTS THE EASTERN REGIONAL E.C. DIRECTOR FAXED TO THE E.C. HEADQUARTERS IN ACCRA TO BE ADDRESSED BY COMRADE DARLAS WILLIAMS – EASTERN REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press, we welcome you to this briefing.
First of all, we will like to Congratulate our party people in the Eastern Region who volunteered to support the process on 7th December and beyond.

We will like to also thank the close to 37% of Ghanaians in the Eastern Region who voted for John Mahama. All together about 42% of the people in the Eastern voted against Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, a massive vote of no confidence in this NPP administration.
It is however unfortunate that the NPP in collusion with the EC has decided to tinker with this verdict by the good people of the Eastern Region.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the press, You were all available at the Collation center of the EC and captured the details of the results and the declaration.

You would remember that the NDC had even requested for a joint collation process which will ensure transparency and easy acceptance which the EC rudely refused. However, the pinksheet containing the results were signed by the NPP, GUM, NDC and the CPP around 6.37pm. Let’s note that the PPP agent was unavailable at the point of completion of Collation to sign. These figures were consequently published by some of you the media.

Is it not surprising that after everybody has left, the EC will transmit a new fraudulent pinksheet containing different sets of figures that have all candidates votes increase but with the greatest padding for Nana Addo? This pinksheet had been signed by the NPP, GUM and the PPP agent at around 9.40pm. These votes have been compensated for by reducing the percentage of the smaller parties.

This is a clear evidence of the many manipulations and clever rigging mechanism the EC and the NPP have put in place to change the will of the people of the Eastern Region.

Infact this amounts to a subversion which requires criminal enquiry and action!! We have notified Accra and are confident that the right thing is done!!

Ladies and gentlemen, we will conclude by thanking our supporters for such a remarkable improvement of our parliamentary strength.

We have won 8 Constituencies in all. We have made history by maintaining Asuogyaman seat for the first time. We have regained Upper Manya Krobo and the Akwatia seats which we lost in 2016. We have won our traditional Lower Manya Krobo, and Yilo Krobo, Afram plains South and Afram plains North with heavier margins than before. And we have added a new born baby Ayensuano which have been lost over 20years ago!! If not for such mass electoral fraud that has been endorsed by the EC, an addition of Upper West Akyem and Fanteakwa North which was lost with a little around 200 votes would have increased our tally to 10.

Finally We will like to Congratute His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for such a wonderful come back!! We will like to assure him that Eastern Region is strongly behind him at all cost to ensure that he rescues Ghana from abyss.

Thank you for coming
