Rainbowradioonline.com has detected another anomaly from the statement issued by the Electoral Commission (EC) in which they admitted that the EC chair Mrs. Jean Mensa inadvertently used 13,433,573 as the total valid votes cast instead of 13,119,460.
A statement issued by the EC to that effect said the EC acknowledged that the Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensa “inadvertently used 13,433,573 as the total valid votes cast.”
“The total valid votes cast is 13,119,460. This does not change the percentages stated for each candidate and the declaration made by the Chairperson,” the EC said in the statement issued Thursday morning, December 10, 2020.
The EC has since provided a summary of the 2020 presidential election results without the Techiman South constituency.
However, it has also emerged that on the face of the statement issued to correct the anomaly, the number did not tally with what the EC provided.
The total of all the votes cast as captured in the tally was 13,432,875.
But in the same statement, the EC quotes a different figure of 13,433,573 with a vote difference of 716 votes.
