The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has insisted that it will form the majority in parliament after the dust finally settles in the ongoing brouhaha surrounding the 2020 parliamentary election.
The party says it will have a total of 140 seats after they finish dealing with the disputes.
National Communication Officer Sammy Gyamfi addressing a press conference on Thursday, December 17, 2020, said they are currently contesting the Tarkwa Nsuaem, Techiman South, Sehwi Wiaso, and Zabzugu constituencies.
He maintained the EC connived with the governing New Patriotic Party (NP) to subvert the will of the people.
He said we do not have a hung parliament as suggested by some individuals because the NDC won the majority.
He further alleged that the NDC won the Essikado-Ketan seat which has been declared for Mr. Joe Ghartey.
Sammy Gyamfi insisted that very soon, the clear majority seats the NDC won would be seen by Ghanaians in the shortest possible time.
He reiterated that the presidential election was rigged in favour of President Akufo-Addo.
On the Zabzugu seats, he said the EC declared the results at a secret location to declare the results for the NPP.
For Techiman South, he added they have won the seat based on their collation.
