National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has taken Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Electoral Commissioner, to the cleaners over the declaration of the 2020 presidential results.
Sammy Gyamfi addressing journalists on Thursday noted that the EC chair was changing the results, like how a mother changes, the diapers of a baby.
According to him, the NDC after auditing their pink sheets has identified over 10,000 polling stations where people voted without verification.
The party he noted has also discovered other irregularities including over-voting, ballot stuffing among others.
He said if there was no verification then the possibility of multiple voting and other forms of over voting took place, especially in the Ashanti Region.
He said it was deliberate in the region for the EC to rig the polls for the incumbent.
Sammy Gyamfi also slammed the EC Chair over what he termed as patent mathematical flaws in the results declared.
He said the results declared on December 9 and the corrections made on December 10, 2020, and the results gazetted are different.
He specifically mentioned that at the SDA Primary School Chiraa 1 Polling Station, the number of voters on the voters’ register is 49.
He said the total ballots allocated to the polling station by the EC per the constituency ballot statistics document they themselves gave political parries is 60. Yet, the total votes cast at the polling station is 466 as recorded on the face of the pink sheet.
”If this is not evidence of electoral fraud, then what is it? Mind you, this is just one out of the thousands of cases of over-voting we have uncovered through our painstaking audit of pink sheets. I have attached herewith, snapshots of the polling station results (pink sheet), voters register, and ballot allocation sheet so you can ascertain the truth for yourself.”
