The NDC MP-elect for Assin North, James Gyakye Quayson has been sued over alleged claims that he holds Canadian citizenship.
The elected MP was recently accused of failing to renounce his Candian citizenship before contesting the parliamentary election.
He, however, denied the claims insisting he renounced his Canadian citizenship before contesting the race.
But the complainant who filed the case has stated that the MP-elect still held on the Canadian citizenship when he was filing to contest in the December parliamentary polls.
