President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that he has performed well since he was elected into office in 2016.
Delivering his last State of the Nation Address today, Tuesday, January 5, 2021, the president said he inherited a troubling economy with weak growth and a near-collapse of the financial sector.

According to him, his government in four years has achieved a lot in formalizing and modernizing the economy through the digital addressing system, the paperless operation policy, access to the digital financial sector, among other initiatives.

All these he noted has helped in transforming lives.

President Akufo-Addo in his address to parliament said it was an honour for Ghanaians to give him a clear and unequivocal victory in 2016.
The president added the NPP knew what it wanted to do hence put in plans to make the economy stable.
The global pandemic of the coronavirus he said nearly destroyed the economic gains his administration has chalked.

But the proactive decisions taken by his administration he stated have helped in minimizing the impact of the virus.
