The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has presented the name of its current Majority leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu as the candidate for the same position in the 8th Parliament.
He would be deputized by Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who is the MP for Effutu constituency.
General Secretary of the party John Boadu in a statement said the party has since informed the Clerk of Parliament about the decision of the NPP.
Mr. Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri has been appointed as the Majority Chief Whip by the party.
His deputies would be Mr. Iddrisu Habib, the MP for Tolon, Northern Region and Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan, the MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon.
