The Speaker for the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana, Rt Hon. Alban Bagbin has pledged to submit himself to the rules of the House.
On his acceptance speech, the Speaker said he will serve Ghana, Parliament, Ghanaians, and legislators to the best of his ability.
He also promised to serve the House wholeheartedly with the knowledge and experience he has aquifer as a former MP and Second Deputy Speaker.
The Speaker said he will serve faithfully and consciously discharge his duties as a Speaker.
He expressed gratitude to God, the MPs, and Ghanaians for the support.
According to him, he feels honoured to have been elected as a Speaker.
