Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute Koku Anyidoho, has stated that Speaker Alban Bagbin is not only a firm person but someone who will apply the rules of the House to the latter.
Sharing in opinion on the election of Alban Bagbin he said the new Speaker would not compromise on his reputation and integrity.
Koku Anyidoho said the current had massive support from his side and some two votes from the NPP, and in his acceptance speech, he assured the House he will apply the rules of the House in his work.
He said the Speaker could have also boycotted the inauguration of the president because his side was not there, and if he wanted to be partisan, he would have followed them out.
”He came in and swore the president in. Prior to that, in his maiden statement as Speaker, he said he would l give the legislators some few months, and then he will apply the rules to the latter. What else do you want than a firm Speaker who will not compromise his integrity. He is the third most important person in Ghana.”
”He could have been rebellious and say he will not swear in the president and say he was following his party out of parliament. Did he do that?
He revealed some persons had no hope that Bagbin would win because they played ”chacha” with the choice of Bagbin.
