January 8, 2021

National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo has commended the party’s elected Members of Parliament for making the umbrella family proud.

The lawyer and youth leader in a statement opined that the MPs displayed knowledge and exhibited that the party has intellectuals.

”One cannot help but appreciate the fine brains the NDC put on display that day. At the end of the day, the superior arguments of the NDC won in a non partial environment like parliament.

Forget the hype of the NPP and how they claim they win in court. If not for anything, the work of Anas tells us that our judges can be influenced in various ways. From collecting tubers of yam, goats and trifling request for massages.

Where ever you find yourself as a member of the NDC, remain proud, bold and resolute. We have more astute men than the NPP, and our performance in Government tells it all.”

When the Youth Wing of the NDC started the Heritage series during the 2020 campaign, we sought to prove that we had more intellectuals than the NPP.

On the eve of the inauguration of the 8th parliament of the 4th Republic, we saw the depth of the NDC caucus when they were on their feet debating the issue of whether the Assin North MP had been properly served and whether he could participate in the election of the speaker of the 8th parliament.

I must say, that was one of my proudest moments as a member of the NDC; from the arguments of our leader, Haruna Iddrisu to that of our Chief Whip, Alhaji Muntaka. Dr Dominic Ayine, the former deputy Attorney General made the law so attractive and broke it into very simple language that one could not help but admire his submission. Then our Harvard trained lawyer, Mahama Ayariga put the nail in the coffin of the baseless and non factual arguments of the NPP.

One cannot help but appreciate the fine brains the NDC put on display that day.

We have more astute men than the NPP, and our performance in Government tells it all.

To sections of our press who are being hypocritical and bias, my advice to them is simple, begin to mend your ways or become extinct. Remember that with the influx of new media, soon no one will pay attention to you again because the people are becoming wiser by the day and have become aware of your modus operandi.

At a later date, we must begin a dispassionate discussion and compare the materials in both parties. I know without any doubt that the NDC stands tall. It is the media that has created the hype about the NPP and the worst performing President of the 4th Republic, Akufo-Addo

Thank you.
