Total active cases of Coronavirus in Ghana have increased to 3,613.
Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GH.S), Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, made this known to the media at the Information Ministry on Monday, January 25, 2021.
He said the death toll has moved from 367 as of January 19, 2021, to 372 as of January 22.
He added that so far, 745,095 Covid19 tests have been conducted in Ghana.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Medical Association, GMA has called on the government as a matter of urgency to restrict social activities in the country.
A statement issued GMA said also asked the government to restrict the number persons attending the funeral of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings
They suggested that Ghanaians should be encouraged to follow the funeral on Television instead of converging at the grounds.
“Government should restrict the number of people attending the state funeral for the late H.E Flt Lt. Jerry John Rawlings and rather encourage people to follow proceedings on Television and other social media platforms,” the GMA said in a statement Monday.
