General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte will serve as witnesses for petitioner John Dramani Mahama in the 2020 petition.
The petitioner has finally filed his witness statements after he asked to do so on Tuesday or have his case strikeout by the court.
The court took exception to the refusal of the petitioner to file his witness statement despite the order by the court last week.
It was the case of the lawyers of the petitioner that their refusal to file was because they had filed a stay of execution.
But the court directed them to file their witness statements or the court would have no option other than to throw out the case.
The lawyers have since filed the witness statements.
Mr. Mahama wants the Apex court to set aside the results of the election that went in favor of the NPP’s Nana Akufo-Addo.
