The third witness for petitioner John Dramani Mahama, Robert Joseph (Rojo) Mettle-Nunoo, will today, Monday, February 8, mount the witness box.
He was supposed to have been cross-examined by the first and second respondents last week but that was postponed after the respondents in the case objected to 23 paragraphs of his statement.
It was their argument that these paragraphs were material facts but we’re not pleaded in their petition.
Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata, the lead counsel for the petitioner in his counter-argument disagreed but after their long hours of arguments, the Justices of the Supreme Court chaired by Chief Justice Anin Yeboah in a unanimous decision ordered the removal of only five paragraphs which were four, five, six, seven and 18.
His cross-examination would be done via zoom due to ill health.
