Sustainable development expert Michael Ebo Amoah has opined that the Member of Parliament for Asawase Muntaka Mubarak lacks emotional intelligence.
In his view, the MP has also gained notoriety for peddling falsehood, and it was about time he is told in the face.
He was reacting to the MPs letter of apology for generalising his alleged bribery against a Supreme Court judge.
The expert and lecturer said the apology by the MP is not enough and has further asked the Supreme Court to cite the legislator for contempt.
Speaking to Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Mr. Ebo Amoah said as an MP, the legislator should have been guided by his ethic responsibility and respect the justices of the apex court.
”Honourable Muntaka is becoming notorious for falsehood in this country. We should not have leaders who will be peddling falsehood. People see this as normal and attack our leaders and think it is okay to peddle falsehood and go scot-free.”
He recounted the infamous Muntaka and Mahama Ayariga bribery saga during the vetting of Boakye Agyarko in the first term of President Akufo-Addo.
”Look at your stature, look at your personality…We have what we call emotional intelligence and discretion, but Muntaka lacks emotional intelligence. He has done this for three or four times.”
He advised that this issue should not end at the apology and parliament as a body must deal with him so it will serve as a deterrent.
He said the MP promised to provide evidence if pushed and so, what changed, what went on behind the closed doors?
