Some female students at the Darda Health Pre-University College, located at the Blue top estate in Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East municipality of the Central region, have accused the Director Mr Eric Paintsil, of taking advantage of them sexually.
The students claimed that the director lure them with the award of a scholarship, but, after admission, he makes advances at them and sleeps with them.
Some of the students who spoke to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm stated that he has dated and slept with several girls in the school.
They have also alleged that the director tells unsuspecting students that they would be enrolled in the second year at some of the country’s numerous universities, should they complete the two years Pre-University program at his school but after admission, he changes the narrative.
They said the director promised to help them better their WASSCE grades while in school but after they paid the fees, he has told them the exams is NOVDEC and not WASSCE.
”Before your admission, he will promise to award you a scholarship especially if you are from a poor background. But when you admitted, he will be making advances at you. He is not running a school but a sex scandal. He has taken advantage of several students. After sleeping with you, he will dump you and peddle lies about you to other girls,” one of the students said.
Another student said: ”that is what he does. He is taking advantage of students. I have heard that he impregnated a student recently. We thought the school was a nursing school, but he deceived us. I want my Ghc25,000 I paid to the school,” if he fails to pay, we will curse him.”
Reacting to the allegations, the director asked the affected students to use the legal means to challenge him if he has faulted any of them.
He admitted to being a man and would love to have sex but has not slept with any student.
Mr. Painstil said the students should sue him and provide evidence to support their claims and stop denigrating him in the media.
He added if there are issues to be resolved, the students could have used the channels available in the school than to use the media to tarnish his image.
