The West African Examination Council has released provisional results of candidates who sat for the 2020 West African Senior High School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
A total of 51,914 candidates made of 24,649 males and 27,265 females sat for the examination out of which 3,688 were absent.
The entire results of 401 candidates have been withheld over suspected examination malpractices.
These malpractices include impersonation, use of mobile phones, use of foreign materials in the examination halls among others.
The results withheld would be released or cancelled pending the outcome of an ongoing probe, a statement issued by WAEC said.
