A former member of parliament who contested the Council of State of the election in the Northern Region, Ras Mubarak, has called for diversity in the election of representatives to the Council.
He argues that with diversity and inclusion comes a better decision.
He was reacting to his inability to get the nod to represent the people of the region in the recently held election.
He was hoping we will be having several young brains who would avail themselves for the Council of State polls.
Ras Mubarak noted that there are several young g persons with the brains to help Ghana develop and when given the opportunity they will make the country proud.
He said there is evidence of successes in youth leadership in Ghana.
He recounted his time at the National Youth Authority to support his claims saying he discharged his duties well and felt he had what it takes to have been elected to the Council.
He stressed the need for diversity for young people, women and persons with disability the opportunity to join the Council.
