President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Mrs. Sylvia Adaawa Annoh, the current Principal Public Relations Officer of the Electoral Commission as ambassador to Denmark.
Her name appeared in a list of over 30 ambassadors that the President has presented to the Council of State.
Her appointment has already generated mixed reactions on social media with followers of the two major political parties expressing varied opinions.
According to some, the nominee has been one of the dedicated servants of Ghana having served under Dr. Afari Gyan for tears and now serving as the PRO for the EC under Mrs. Jean Mensa.
Mrs. Sylvia Naa Adaawa Annoh holds a Master of Governance and Leadership degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in addition to a Post graduate Diploma in Public Administratforor from the same institution.
She is a graduate from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
As an Election Administrator between 1993 to 2015 with a wealth of experience in media relations and elections, she has trained several Ghanaian journalists from reputable media houses in accurate election /media reportage over the years.
She is a Christian and a Deaconess of Royal House Chapel International, Ahenfie.
Her hobbies are writing, reading, singing, cooking and dancing.
She is married with three children. Madam Sylvia was a Public Relations officer for the Consultative Assembly that wrote the 1992 Constitution.
