The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye, has disclosed that over 200,000 people in Ghana have been vaccinated against the deadly coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The persons vaccinated he added was done in the last six days.
He told journalists at a press briefing at the Peduase judge on Monday that as of Sunday, March 7, 2021, at 8 pm, a total of 202,252 people have had their first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination.
In detailing the figures he said by the close of day March 7, 2021, a total of 202, 252 persons had been vaccinated.
The Greater Accra Region he noted had the highest number of persons – 128,088 vaccinated.
He further revealed that Friday the 5th of March saw a total of 46,780 persons vaccinating which represents the highest figure of the days since the vaccination started.
