Founder and President of Peace Watch Ghana Madam Nyonkopa Daniels, has said although women in Ghana, should be celebrated for their contributions to national development, peace and stability, Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Electoral CXommissioner is excluded.
According to her, Mrs. Jean Mensa does not deserve to be celebrated because she nearly plunged Ghana into chaos and anarchy.
Speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, she opined that the EC chair failed women of Ghana and could not faithfully and truthfully discharge her duties.
Madam Daniels stated that under the leadership of Mrs. Jean Mensa, figures kept changing and that was a situation that could have led to serious crisis and instability.
”Mrs. Jean Mensa is the woman in Ghana today, who does not deserve to be celebrated. All the others deserve to be praised, but for Mrs. Jean Mensa, she is not in the league of women who should be celebrated.”
She said if we were in the olden days, Mrs. Jean Mensa would have been ostracised for allegedly rigging the 2020 presidential elections.
Meanwhile, she has expressed confidence in Mavis Hawa Koomson saying she would deliver on the job given her.
”It was obvious the 2020 election was not credible and the Supreme Court did not help is in dealing the matter well but what else could we do. We will only accept the outcome like that. If there should be a war, women and children would suffer most,” she lamented.
She was not happy that her [Koomson’s] expression of the English language, was used to measure her competence.
She, however, advised her to stop pulling guns and acting violently.
For the Communications Minister-Madam Ursula Owusu, she advised her to stop being arrogant and humble herself.
