We’re agents of change, let’s keep fighting-CPP Women’s Organizer to Women

March 8, 2021

National Women’s Organizer for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Hajia Aisha Sulley Futa, has challenged Ghanaian women to see themselves as part of the process towards Ghana’s development.

In a special message to Ghanaian women especially, those in Ghana’s political space, she said they should see themselves as agents of change and always be ready to contribute to Ghana’s growth.

Aisha Sulley Futa noted that paving the way for women in the decision-making process, politics, business, and the civic arena is an investment for growth and development.

She said, as the world celebrates women today, it is important to commend women who have sacrificed for their political parties, their societies and the world as a whole.

The outspoken Women’s Organizer said women have the right to engage in civil society, vote in elections and be elected and make their voices heard any decision that will ultimately affect them.

Hajia Futa added that investing in girls and women have multiple effects and benefits hence every country should put in place measures to address issues of women.

Studies show that increasing women’s participation in politics leads to greater investments in education and companies.

Research also suggests that gender balance in the political sphere promotes gender balance in the workforce, which could double global GDP growth by 2025.

”Goodmorning, fellow women. I wish every woman a Happy Women’s Day. Today is a special day for women, and not only Ghanaian women, but women across the globe, especially all sister parties in the world. I wish all parties a happy Women’s Day,” she said.

”We have to continue supporting our political parties and nation with our strength and skills. We need to keep the fight in our political terrain, in our business space, in our companies and be proud. We are being celebrated today and we should be proud. I wish all women especially women in the CPP a happy Women’s Day,” she concluded.
