The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended its member Stephen Atubiga.
The party in a release said Atubiga was suspended for denigrating the party and individuals in the party.
The party said the action of Atubiga is not only in breach of his own promises to apologise for an earlier statement of saying that only foolish politicians retire poor when Eugene Arhin’s divorce saga and alleged property came up in the media.
”You are therefore by this letter to take note and notice is hereby given that your membership of the NDC is suspended, pending the hearing and final determination by the National Disciplinary Committee.
Please find attached your copy of a separate letter of referral to the Disciplinary Committee.
It is our hope that you would co-operate with the Disciplinary Committee for an expeditious determination of your case.”
