The Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) has written a petition demanding the commercialisation of money ritual and negative contents in the media.
The petition which has been addressed to the Ministries of Information, Interior, Communication, the Inspector General of Police, Media Commission, National Communication Authority and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) called for an end to these contents.
Signed by its National Communication Director, Samuel Owusu Afriyie, the petition said it upholds media freedom but against the promotion of money ritual on television.
It called for the punishment of persons promoting these contents in accordance with the laws of GFhana.
