The Ghana Police Service has placed a Ghc10,000 bounty on the persons who robbed and shot a man and his wife in Takoradi on Monday, April 12, 2021.
A statement issued by the police said: ”It is for the information of the general public, that any person, other than a law enforcement officer, who furnishes information leading to the arrest of suspects who robbed and shot a man and his wife in Takoradi on Monday 12th April 2021 will receive a reward of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh¢ 10.000.00) from the Western Regional Security Council.”
Persons with information have been asked to report to the nearest police station.
A man and his wife were robbed at gunpoint by suspected armed robbers at Takoradi Amanful on Monday, in a daylight robbery.
The couple were said to have gone to the bank to withdraw some money.
The robbers reportedly tailed and robbed them at gunpoint.
The couple according to the details available realised they were being followed by the suspected robbers upon reaching Amanful East, a suburb of Takoradi.
The armed men suddenly rushed on the occupants of the private car and demanded the couple hand over the money they withdrew.
The robbers allegedly shot the man twice, took the money, and ran away in the full glare of some residents.
