A former Defense Minister, Dr. Benjamin Kumbour has called on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) not to distract from the core values of the party.
He said the party must not lose sight of its founding principles in the name of a “new NDC” if they want to win an election.
According to him, the very day he heard a new NDC, he started getting worried.
Dr. Kumbour noted that he was worried because he did not know that the new NDC members are interpreting the time type of electoral misfortunes the NDC had suffered over the years particularly in 2016.
He said there was nothing wrong with being new.
However, the party must be known based on their values and their roots.
He said if the party choose to be new and play the game of other political parties, they can never win an election.
He made the remarks at an event organized by some senior members of the NDC.
