Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Premepeh has said the announced dumsor by the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) over maintenance works is expected to end today, Monday, May 17, 2021.
Responding to a question of whether the announced schedule for the end of the dumsor will be done as planned, he said he could give a definite answer because he does not what might happen today.
He however stated that we are assured that the reason why they [ECG] released the timetable will end today.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in April released a timetable to guide the disruptions in power supply in parts of the Greater Accra Region.
The timetable was released due to ongoing system improvement works on the Pokuase Bulk Supply Point.
ECG stated that the project will require a complete shutdown of the 330kv transmission line thereby affecting power supply and reliability to the Mallam Bulk Supply Point.
The timetable started on Monday, May 10 and is expected to end today, May 17, 2021.
